Everywhere you go in wolfville now you see colour. Even in the rain we had earlier today it was beautiful. On every street there was a bit of a spring show. Forsythia, tulips, magnolias, grape hyacinth.
Everywhere that is except in Willow park. The front bed, the one nearest Main street, has a few lonely red tulips (probably leftovers from a previous incarnation) and one clump of yellow near the back, hardly noticeable on a drive by. There are some tulips just starting now to show in an east bed, lined up in unflattering soldierly rows.
We thought it was a perennial tenet of gardening to have colour through all seasons. Guess that is not in the new green manual. We will have to wait for the dandelions.
