National Newspaper awards

Can’t not mention that our local news hound – the first w of Wolfville journalism- won not one but two awards from the Canadian Community newspaper Association in their annual Better newspaper competition. She got a third place for Outstanding Columnist for her weekly writing and second place for Outstanding Reporter Initiative for her seven part feature series ” good kids gone bad.” Sorry we missed reading those … but sounds good.

The Yarmouth Vanguard won first place for best feature series ( After the Crash) and first place for Best Special Section (for coverage of Canadian Idol finalist Dwight D’Eon) and Hants Journal Nadine Armstrong won first place for Best feature photos so guess we should mention those.
